RecoverTick
A Rust decision engine that makes controller decisions replayable, with bounded retries and a fixed-capacity journal.
I’m Mehmet Akif Çakır. I explore robotics, embedded systems and software — one thoughtful experiment at a time.

01 / Selected projects
Small, open-source explorations. The code, the current stage, and the questions still worth asking.
A Rust decision engine that makes controller decisions replayable, with bounded retries and a fixed-capacity journal.
The beginning of a reusable robotics toolkit, currently a small Python motor abstraction with Arduino and ESP32 modules on the roadmap.
An offline-first Python research simulator with technical features, a small ML model and a shared fictional portfolio.
02 / The notebook
Notes on building, testing and understanding systems. Each story starts with a real project.
The engineering boundary behind RecoverTick's retry engine.
What exists today in OpenRobotKit, and what a hardware layer would need next.
Why a local research simulator needs shared state and explicit limits.

03 / A little about me
I'm Mehmet Akif Çakır, a mechatronics engineering student at Manisa Celal Bayar University, based in Izmir, Türkiye. I explore the connection between physical systems and software through small, inspectable open-source projects: deterministic decision engines, robotics abstractions and local research simulations. This is where I share the code, the design decisions and the next questions.
